The following are the latest and greatest in dozers, for all  your earth moving needs on pipeline jobsites.

The largest dozer in the CASE lineup, the 24-ton, 215-hp 2050M is powered by an SCR-equipped Tier 4 engine and offers up to 14 percent more power than its predecessor, nearly 81,000 lbs of drawbar pull and a robust, box-style C-frame engineered to withstand extreme blade forces in the toughest applications.

The 2050M offers fingertip controls and customizable steering, shuttle and blade sensitivity settings that can be adjusted between Smooth, Moderate and Aggressive to match ground conditions and operator comfort. The cab offers floor-to-ceiling glass doors and a cab-forward design to provide maximum visibility with direct line-of-sight to the blade edge.

The redesigned cab offers floor-to-ceiling glass doors and a cab-forward design to provide maximum visibility with direct line-of-sight to the blade edge and ahead of the machine. True positive pressure helps keep out the elements and advanced sealing results in one of the quietest cabs in the industry.

M Series dozers also come standard with CASE ProCare — the most complete maintenance and heavy machine support program in the industry, which includes a three-year/3,000-hr full machine factory warranty, a three-year/3000-hr planned maintenance contract, and a three-year Advanced SiteWatch telematics subscription.

Purpose-built in Dubuque, Iowa, the John Deere-designed and manufactured 1050K pipelayer-ready crawlers are available for pipeline customers looking to get a lift on the competition. The 1050K pipelayer is available in two configurations for 170,000 lbs (PL170) and 220,000 lbs (PL220) of maximum lift capacity. The 350-hp 1050K PL models boast a dual-path hydrostatic transmission that delivers more precise movement and control along the trench. Additionally, electrohydraulic controls enable exceptionally fine metering when placing the pipe.

Upon leaving the factory, the pipelayer-ready crawlers are ready for the customer’s choice of an approved supplier boom. These machines feature a bolt-on/pin-up design that simplifies sideboom installation, improving reliability and reducing setup time. A purpose-built pipelayer cab integrates an electrohydraulic joystick for precise one-handed control of the load line, boom and counterweight. Additionally, a large roof-mounted skylight provides operators with a clear view of the boom. To further simplify setup, the purpose-built cab is factory equipped for easy installation of the sideboom supplier’s load moment indicator (LMI). Fleet managers looking to get the most out of their 1050K pipelayer-ready crawlers can rely on their John Deere dealers to provide Ultimate Uptime, featuring John Deere WorkSight.

Komatsu’s new 354-hp D155AX-8 LGP (low ground pressure) dozer features a wide gauge and long track undercarriage for improved floatation and stability in all pipeline applications. The D155AX-8 LGP operating weight is 100,000 lbs (45360 kg) when equipped with standard 38-in. extreme service shoes, angle blade and towing winch. This operating weight is significantly higher than competitors and increases useable drawbar pull. Its powerful towing winch with standard high-flow rear hydraulics has a bare drum maximum line pull rating of 150,000 lbs (68039 kg) and a full drum maximum line speed 166 ft per minute.

Despite its heavy weight, the D155AX-8 LGP has low ground pressure of 8.3 psi (57 KPa) and excellent stability due to its long track on ground 141 in. (3580 mm) and wide track gauge 94.5 in. (2,400 mm). The large capacity angle blade of 9.6-cu yds (7.3 m3) maximizes productivity and its 19-ft wide cutting edge can be used to finish grade a large area quickly. The D155AX-8 LGP, whether rented, leased or purchased, is covered by the Komatsu CARE program for the first three years or 2,000 hours.
