Always aiming at scientific innovation and constant professional training, the National Electricity Administration and the ITAIPU Paraguay Technology Park Foundation (FPTI-PY) signed, today, Thursday, December 23, a Framework Agreement for Technical Cooperation, which aims to initiate joint actions and promote various programs that contribute to the development of the country.
Within the framework of the aforementioned Cooperation Agreement, a Technical Cooperation Agreement II was also signed, which aims to lay the foundations and guarantee the Technical Support of the Autonomous Meter Reading System - Phase 1 - SAMR, developed by the PTI Foundation , which enables the remote acquisition of information from Low Voltage meters.
It is worth mentioning that on November 9, the first Technical Cooperation Agreement was signed between ANDE and FPTI-PY, called "Implementation of the Autonomous Meter Reading System - Phase 1 - SAMR", where the bases of this project were established. .
To date, some 5,000 meters are already in this remote reading mode, the billing process of which is carried out completely remotely. This modality is mainly applied to meters installed in building cabinets in the city of Asunción, which, thanks to the remote reading, enables effective meter reading in time and form. Likewise, this innovative form of measurement is projected to be extended to the entire country.
