Millions in state loans for affordable and special needs housing announced -

RICHMOND, Va. (CBS19 NEWS) -- More than $21 million in affordable and special needs housing loans has been announced by Governor Ralph Northam.

There will be loans for 24 projects around the state. This includes projects in the city of Charlottesville and Albemarle County.

In Charlottesville, the Piedmont Housing Alliance will receive $1.9 million in funding for Friendship Court Phase I. 

Also, the Charlottesville Redevelopment and Housing Authority is getting $934,000 for the South First Street Phase One and $835,000 for Crescent Halls.

In Albemarle County, Virginia Supportive Housing will receive $1.46 million in funding for Premier Circle Permanent Supportive Housing.

Greater Charlottesville Habitat for Humanity will receive $1.4 million in funding for Southwood Affordable Homeownership.
